The 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season has hit the halfway point, and Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA is first in the point standings, first to hit the 14-week mark of earning points, and is also the only driver to post a victory in each of the 14 weeks of competition.

Trosclair took his 16th victory of the season on Saturday night with a 40-point win at Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS driving the J. Dunning Sandblasting and Painting Special.  It was the second race of the evening for Trosclair, who also finished fourth earlier in the evening at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, MS.

The 47-points Trosclair earned at Jackson Motor Speedway were the ones that counted as his 14th week total.  Trosclair now has 754 points, and will begin netting points in Week 15 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series action.  Trosclair has four 40-point weekly totals to net on.

Brent Barrett of Cleveland, MS finished third on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, MS in the Custom Spraying GRT to bring his NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point total to 714 points, and he is second, 40 points behind Trosclair in the point standings.  Barrett can still earn full points for one more week.
