Max Gresham will try to add a win in one of the biggest short-track stock car races to his racing resume when he  competes in the 29th-Annual World Crown 300 this Wednesday, July 4 at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, GA.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver will join a stellar field that includes NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular David Ragan and fellow Camping World Truck Series standout Cale Gale. Also included in the large list of pre-entries are short-track standouts Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Stephen Nasse, Kenzie Ruston, Donnie Wilson, Bubba Pollard, Mike Garvey, Augie Grill and Paul Kelley.

According to Gresham, winning the prestigious short-track racing classic held at his family-owned track would help ease the pain of not going to victory lane in his only other appearance in the event.

“Winning the World Crown this time around would be a kind of redemption for me,” Gresham stated. “I ran ‘The Crown’ in 2009, the first year my grandfather owned the track, and ran really well. It was a Pro Late Model race back then and I should have won it but I didn’t. It really hurt to be so close and not win it. Hopefully, this year will be different.”

This time, Gresham will be wheeling the No. 92 Made In USA Brand racer owned by long-time Georgia racing standout Jason Hogan. Despite all of his experience in various types of stock cars, this will be only the second time in his career that Gresham has competed in a Super Late Model stocker.
