Anthony Anders made his first appearance of the season in the Late Model division at Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC Friday night, and put an end to the dominance held by Randy Porter’s car by scoring the victory in the 50 lap feature.
After setting fast time in qualifying, Anders started on the outside of the front row after a die roll inverted the top two, giving Porter the top spot.
Porter led the first fifteen laps of the race before he was finally bypassed by Anders. Once out front, Anders pulled away to a quick five car length advantage and eventually pulled away to a ten car length advantage by the end of the race. The victory was the first of the season for Anders as he has ran seventeen races this season at various tracks without a victory. Porter finished second, with R.A. Brown third, Kenneth Headen fourth, and Ralph Carnes fifth.
In other action, Austin Northcutt scored the win in the B-M Modified feature. Fourteen cars started the event, with Northcutt taking the lead at the start of the race. On lap six Northcutt, Mark Burdette, and Alan Mitchell battled three wide down the backstretch. There was contact between Burdette and Northcutt, which sent Burdette to the pits and Northcutt to the rear of the field while Mitchell moved to the lead.
Mitchell led until lap 14, when he was bypassed by a hard charging Northcutt who had come from the rear of the field to regain the top spot. Northcutt led the final lap and a half and went on to pick up his second victory in a row and third of the season. Mitchell finished second. Lance Jones finished third. Casey Tucker finished fourth. Jeff Thompson finished fifth.
Chad Campbell picked up the win in the B Mini Stock feature. Campbell led every lap of the race on the way to his fourth victory of the season. Dylan Hall ran with Campbell the first five laps of the race before he fell off the pace set by the leader. David Darnell finished second, with Chuck Mitchell in third, Hall in fourth, and Ryan Lockwood in fifth.

In C Mini Stock action, Dylan Hall scored the victory. Dion Ciccarelli led the first ten laps of the race while Hall and Ryan Howard battled for the second position. On lap eight Ciccarelli slipped in turn four, allowing Hall to close up on his rear bumper. On lap 11, Hall battled past Ciccarelli to take over the lead. Once out front, Hall pulled away to a five car length advantage and held the distance the remainder of the race. The victory was the fourth of the season for Hall. Ciccarelli, Ryan Howard, Brian Porter, and Brandon Segars rounded out the top five.
Barry Tollison Sr. grabbed the victory in the Super Renegade feature. Tollison led every lap of the race and easily out paced the remainder of the field. The victory was the third of the season for Tollison. Barry Tollison Jr. finished second. Sammy Staggs finished third. Whitey Suttles finished fourth. Joe Evans finished fifth.
Ricky Burnett won the Renegade feature. Burnett led every lap of the race and picked up his fifth victory in a row, but the victory did not come easily. Bryan Davis battled with Burnett throughout the race, but failed to get by him for the top spot. Davis would finish second, with Chad Watt third, Blake Gregory fourth, and Jack Robertson fifth.
Tommy Davis claimed the victory in the Front Wheel Drive feature. Davis led every lap of the race on his way to his third victory of the season. Wayne Cowart finished second, with Chris Harvell, Bradley Williams, and Ray Mullinax rounding out the top five.
