NeSmith Chevy WRS Set For Week Two Action

There are nine NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series events in four different states on the Week 2 schedule with two races on Friday night and seven races on Saturday night.  Five tracks will host their 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season openers this weekend.

Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, MS and Malden Speedway in Malden, MO will each present their 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series season openers on Friday night.  Deep South Speedway in Loxley, AL will open their 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet WRS season opener on Saturday night.

After being rained out last weekend, East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL and Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL will try again to host their first NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series of the 2012 season this Saturday night.  The 2011 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series East Region Champion Jimmy Elkins Jr. of Talladega, AL will be in action at TST.

There is a seven-way tie for the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series point lead, as there were seven different winners last weekend in Week 1 competition.  The 2012 NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Champion will pocket $10,000 at the end of the season and the Top 10 drivers in the points chase will collect out of the point fund.

Greg Martin of Oliver Springs, TN took the win at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN last week, and will be looking to make it two-in-a-row this Saturday night.  Pike County Speedway in McComb, MS will back in action this Saturday night with Mickey Trosclair of Luling, LA looking for his second straight win.
