Charging with the will to maintain his perfect record in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, Alex Bowman passed Chris Buescher with two laps remaining in the Kansas Lottery 98.9 and drove away to his second victory in as many starts.
Bowman defeated Buescher, Grant Enfinger, Max Gresham, and Cale Gale. Points leader Ty Dillon finished seventh after a late incident with a lapped car, but kept a 335-point lead over Buescher and will clinch the ARCA Racing Series title next week by entering and starting at Toledo Speedway.
Bowman also won at Madison International Speedway in August, his first career start.
Buescher’s second-place finish was his seventh top-five run in seven starts on paved ovals over one mile in distance, giving him the Hoosier Tire Superspeedway Challenge Award over Dillon by 25 points.
Next weekend’s Toledo ARCA 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway will close the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season, completing a schedule of 19 races over speedways, short tracks, dirt tracks, and a road course.
