It was an interesting night for Joseph Chandler at South Alabama Speedway in Opp, Alabama. Chandler led the most laps in the Coyote Feature, but almost saw victory slip away. Chandler overcame the obstacles and came back to take the win.

Chandler took the early lead from the outside pole and led the first 17 laps. During a lap 18 caution, one of Chandler’s tires began to deflate. Lee Rogers took the lead on the restart, with Chandler sliding back through the field. Chandler got a break when the caution flew on lap 20, allowing Chandler to come to the pits for a new tire. He also needed to make a quip trip to the gas pump.

He rejoined the race at the back of the field, but quickly moved back through the pack, moving into second on lap 22. He moved to the outside of Rogers and the pair raced side by side for the lead. Coming off of turn four heading to the white flag, Chandler made a crossover move to get to the inside of Rogers. Rogers and Chandler raced into turn one side by side. Chandler was able to gain the top spot and beat Rogers to the checkered flag to take the win. Tony Tidwell was third, followed by Rusty Locklar and James Harris.

In the Modified Feature, Cameron Henderson took the lead from the start and led all 15 laps to take the win. Heath Mills chased Henderson all race, but Henderson maintained a car length lead throughout the race. Lance Blacker was third with Brandon Odom fourth.

Jody Henderson took the lead on lap two and held off Brandon Odom to take the win. Johnny Otto grabbed the early lead from the pole and led the first two laps before Henderson took over the point. Odom moved into second on lap three and pressured Henderson early, but as the race wore on, Henderson eased away from his competitor. Otto finished third with Billy Maxie fourth and Dennis Thomas fifth.

Same ol’ story in the Roadrunner Feature as Kim Bishop took the win. Mike Wolfe led the first 15 laps while Bishop was stalled at the back of the pack. Bishop began to move through the field after a lap 13 caution. With the field bunched back up, it took Bishop three laps to charge to the front. Once out front, Bishop pulled away from the field to take the win. Chris Yeakos came from the ninth starting spot to finish second. Wolfe slipped to third in the final rundown. Ricky Strickland and David Daniels rounded out the top five.

Greg Adams cruised home with the CupLite Feature win. Adams took the lead on the second circuit and led the rest of the way to take the win. Waylon Spivey was second, followed by Karl Williams, Carroll Williams, and Jack Whittle.

Dustin Monday picked up another win in the Mini Sportsman Feature. Gary Richards led the first lap with Lon Howell taking over the lead for five laps. On lap seven, Monday took over and stretched his lead each lap. Eddy Hinson was second with Howell third. Donnie Howell and Dale McClendon were fourth and fifth.
