If the last two Pro Late Model events at Gresham Motorsports Park in Jefferson, Georgia are anything to judge by, Saturday Night’s US Auto Sales 100 Back To School event should be one of the hottest contested events of 2011.
GMP is just coming off a pair of Wednesday night “Midweek Mayhem” events that saw lots of excitement and the kind of good, hard racing that fans have come to expect on the Jefferson high banks.
On July 20, Jerick Johnson held off a hard charge from Michael Lance to pick up the victory.
On Aug. 3, it again came down to a Johnson-Lance shootout, with Lance scoring the victory after Johnson was black flagged for jumping a late restart.
