Jerick Johnson held off a hard charging Michael Lance for the victory in the 40-lap Pro Late model feature in a heart stopper. Hot contests for the Outlaw Late Models and Trucks were also seen, with Hoyt Stephens and Cody Haskins grabbing the wins, respectively.
The races left the crowd of fans happy and hungry for more Wednesday night racing.
That’s just what they’ll get this week, as the second round of Midweek Mayhem rolls into GMP with the Rheem Pro Late 40 this Wednesday, Aug. 4. Pro Late Model racers from around the region are expected to descend on Jefferson, Georgia’s high banks to compete.

Gates open at 5 pm Wednesday afternoon and the featured racing events are scheduled to get underway at 8 pm sharp. With the feature races also running against not only a lap count but also the clock, the final checkered flag is slated to have been dropped and fans traveling on their way home by 10 pm.
Tickets for Wednesday night will be $10 with kids 11-under admitted free. Grandstand and trackside gates will open at 5 pm and the green flag will drop at 8 pm.
