Darrell Wallace Jr. has returned to Victory Lane.

Wallace passed pole-sitter Max Gresham on lap 36 and remained out front the rest of the way to win the inaugural Jegs 150 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at Columbus Motor Speedway.

It was his second win of the season and fourth of his career as a member of Revolution Racing and the Drive for Diversity Program.

Wallace led the final 114 laps of the event. It wasn’t a breeze as eventual runner-up Alex Bowman made sure he hit his marks over the final half of the race.

Bowman picked his career-best finish in second with Brett Moffitt third and Matt DiBenedetto fourth. Daniel Suarez also picked up a career-best showing after he finished fifth.

Chase Elliott enjoyed a solid run in sixth with Gresham coming home seventh. Rookies Dylan Presnell, Cody Hodgson and Eddie MacDonald brought home the top 10.

Moffitt gained 10 points in the race on Gresham in the season standings, but Gresham will still take an 80-point lead into the next race at Greenville (S.C.) Pickens Speedway on Sept. 5.

The race was slowed five times by caution with one red flag given to the field.
